Bantayan Island - Sugar Beach Resort And Ogtong Cave

How to get to Bantayan Island


1.) Go to the North Bus Terminal
2.) Ride a Bus going to HAGNAYA - approximately 4 hours from Cebu to Hagnaya Port
(preferrably Ceres Bus Liner (Yellow-colored bus) | Aircon: Php160php Non-Aircon: 140php(estimate) as of 2014)
3.) From Hagnaya Port ride a Ferry (Super Shuttle Ferry&Island Shipping (whichever comes first) | Fare: 170php Student: 145php)




Backpacking Tips:

1.) Try to Bargain - People will try to overcharge you.
Pedicab fare from Sta Fe Port to the Public Market - 15PHP each
OVERCHARGE: 20-30 Php | Bargained Fare: 10 Pesos Each
I guess the minimum fare is 10 Pesos, depends on the desired location still
2.) Stay at the Sugar Beach Resort (I think one of the cheapest/known resort)
Entrance Fee: 35Php each
Cottage: 200Php
3.) Bring a Tent and Bring Packed Foods
Tent Space Rental: 150PHP per Night in Sugar Beach
if you do not have a tent and have a tight budget you can rent a Tent for 350 pesos including Space Rental
4.) Walk
Yes, you heard it right. The Public Market is within walking distance from Sta. Fe Port and Sugar Beach Resort. If you're not in a hurry just walk,  see spots place and the talk with the locals.
